BLAIS, Nancy Karen (nee Gilbert):
Suddenly, on August 21, 2023 at Health Sciences North as a result of complications from a stroke. Karen, in her 67th year, is predeceased by her parents Jim and Nancy Gilbert, her sister Sharon Gilbert and her niece, Sarah Bougie. Karen will be deeply missed by her partner of 43 years, Kim Moar and her children Shawn Gilbert (Jennifer), Nicole Blais (Dean), and Andre Blais (Lisa). Loving Grandmother to Dustin, Olivia (Derek), McKenzie, Sarah, Marcus, Brandon, Aiden & Mya. Doting furmom to Charlie. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Mental Health Association or the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Our sincere condolences to Karen’s family, Kim, Shawn, Nicole, Andre and grandchildren.
Although we lost touch in the last while, I always considered her my best friend. When ever we saw each other it was as if we had never lost any time apart. Many years have passed since we met and we endured a few heartbreaks along the way but never lost our friendship.
We will miss her and never forget her ❤️
