Blease: Noela (nee Moore)
December 15, 1930 to September 18, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Noela Jean Blease (nee Moore) on September 18th after a long illness. She was in her 92nd year. She is survived by her two children, Kimberley Blease (Doug Conley), Melissa Secord (Jason); by four grandchildren Nicholas and Zachary Blease Trepanier,
Emily and Brian Secord and her sister Hazel Preece, and a wonderful extended family in New Zealand and Australia. Also missed by her step grandchildren Ryan and Fynn Conley. Noela is predeceased by her husband of 36 years Michael, her twin brother Ross and sister Betty Wragg and her parents Bernard and Gladys (nee Lunt).
She was born and raised in the small rural town of Dannevirke, New Zealand. Noela emigrated to Canada in May 1961 after embarking on an international working and sightseeing tour with her sister Hazel and their friend Bernice. Noela met Mike in Toronto through a mutual acquaintance where they eventually married and raised their children. In 1980, they moved to the hobby farm north of Bolton, Ontario to follow the family’s passion for horseback riding and showing Morgan horses and met many lifelong friends. Noela loved animals and adopted several stray dogs and cats as they arrived at the farm gate. They just knew they’d have a loving home with her. Noela and Mike then spent 30 years at Tecumseth Pines in Tottenham. Noela organized many bake sales and other fundraising events for a local animal rescue and was a fixture and organizer for many Pines’events, dances and activities. She regularly offered assistance to neighbours in need of a helping hand and hosted tea parties.
Visitation will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham ON, 905-936-3477 on Friday September 30, 2022 from 11am – 12noon followed immediately by a Celebration of Noela’s Life Memorial Service, and reception (with tea of course!) The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful staff at Fox Run Retirement Home, Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie, the Royal Victoria Hospital and Hospice Simcoe.
It is preferred that in lieu of flowers, (as much as mom loved flowers), that donations be made in her memory to one of the following charitable organizations: Orangeville OSPCA (Dedicated to Orangeville), Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie (Palliative Care) or Hospice Simcoe.
Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

So sorry for your loss. Your mom was a great friend & neighbour.
Noela lent us her long ‘homemade’ pole every Christmas to put our lights on our tall trees beside our driveway. She said just take it, I don’t have to be home. So I did. After 5 yrs of borrowing it, Noela said “oh, just keep it”. So we did and we still have it and use it every Christmas.
A little part of mom left with us.

My sincere condolences to you Melissa and Kim and your families.
What a lovely picture of your mom!
That’s the way I will always remember her. She was very kind to me when I was so young and naïve , and first introduced to her and your dad. She pretty much took me under her wing.
Her smile, her sense of humour, her welcoming personality, will always be memories that I cherish.
I wish you a peaceful, loving journey, beautiful Nola
