I was fortunate enough that in my younger days growing up, Pam was very often at our home, as she was a great friend of my sister Carole. It was a wonderful time in all of our lives, as we went through high school.
I met Pam again recently just as she became ill, and kept in touch with her through email. She was a beautiful writer, and her writings reflected the young lady whom I had know in my youth.
I used to walk her home in the evenings after she had finished visiting Carole, in days gone by. Up Lambeth Crescent and down the Lambeth Road hill we would go, so that I could see her safely to her door.
I am grateful for having known her then, and for her recent letters; may she be safe now forever, just the other side of the door.
