Died at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Tecumseth Pines, Tottenham, Ontario at the age of 79 after a six long year struggle with Alzheimers. Beloved wife of Don Mulcaster for 57 years. Proud mother of Kevin Patrick, and Patricia Agnes (Jeff Sloan). Sister to the late Shirley Anne Tauschek and brother Peter McKenty, and Deborah McKenty. Loved by Stepmother Ruth Brookes. Loving aunt to Paul and Mark Tauschek and their families. Loving grandmother to Jennifer, Michael, and Melissa Mulcaster, and Lucas, and Chelsea Hale. Great Grandmother to Ben, Abbey, and Dallas. Pre deceased by her parents Peter Harold and Agnes McKenty of Windsor, Ontario.
Patricia was a graduate of St. Marys Holy Name College in Windsor. She had a long and successful career in the jewelry and fashion trade industries. A true fashionista, she loved being dressed in the latest fashions and had a passion for coordinating exotic hats and shoes to go with each garment. She was a patron of the Arts and inparticular The Stratford Festival for over 40 years as well as The Shaw Festival, National Ballet, and Live Theatre. A lifelong liberal going back to “Oom Paul” Martin of Windsor, Father of Paul Martin our Prime Minister. Patsy did love the political scene whether it be Provincial, Federal, or International, and loved to debate issues at any time or place. She was always proud of her Irish and French ancestry going back several generations.
Special thanks to St. Elizabeth’s Health Care for their support and care and to her personal support giver Marlina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. James Church, Colgan on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Greater Simcoe County, P.O. Box 1414, Barrie, Ontario, L4M 5R4 would be appreciated by the family.

My deepest condolences go to Don, Tricia, and Kevin, whom I had the pleasure of meeting when I worked with Pat at Peoples Jewellers many years ago. I have come across this obituary simply because I knew Pats grand son use to adore Shirley Temple who passed yesterday. Looking at this beautifully written memory of who Pat was it is a true snap shot of a fantastic woman.
May God bless you all today and always,
Michelle Lanoue of Palgrave.
