Last night we lost the patriarch to our clan. The 1 person on this planet I could look up to and say, he’s the smartest, strongest, funniest, nicest, most faithful, loyal and most handsome person I know.

So this is how life works out. You are born, you grow up and then you become one with the universe but we all must make choices as we grow and spend time in this realm. How will one spend time on this plain? will we work to much? Will we do bad things? Will we give into temptation? Will we waste the time that is given to us? or can we step back and think, there just isnt enough of the precious commodity we call time on this planet to mess around and I think that my Grandpa Pete figured this out a long time ago and found the balance in his career, hobbies and family.

There comes a time in our lives where we all must say goodbye to someone we love and it never comes easy but I can tell you that grandpa lived a fulfilled life of family, achievements, religion, and hobbies that made his life truly wonderful.

Grandpa, you’re an awesome man and I have always looked up to you and hope to be even just half the man you were. I will miss you so much, I will miss your charm, your handshakes, your advice and more importantly your unconditional love.

I know that you’re now looking over all of us and we will be right here keeping your memory alive!

I love you forever, love you for always my grandpa you’ll be

I was saddened to hear of Peter’s death. I knew him over several years when he was consultant for Health Canada. Myself and all the staff looked forward to his weekly visits. It was the highlight of the week. He was always in a lovely humour. He was loved by all. I wish the family peace. May his memory be a blessing. Most Sincerely Ester Leckie
