Passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side on September 30, 2024, in his 95th year.
Beloved husband of Teresa (nee Kennedy). Predeceased by the late Gladys (nee Walsh).
Loving father of Maureen Smith (Mike), Neil (Lisa Tarullo); stepsons Danny and Gary (Marie) Meagher; grandchildren Adriana (Matt), Steven, Brian, Cassandra, and Matt Meagher, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers Joseph, John T., George, and sisters Eileen and Camilla.
Bob retired from MTO after 35 years of loyal service and was well respected in the industry. He was an avid golfer (to say the least), curler, and enjoyed bridge with his bridge friends. Bob was a true friend to many, a great conversationalist, and did not take long to know where you came from, your family, and “what you work at” and other questions. He was a man of faith and lived his life as such. Bob volunteered at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 60 for ‘Fish and Chip Night’ for 17 years. He enjoyed travel and with Teresa made many wonderful memories in Ireland, Scotland, Portugal, cruising to Alaska and the Caribbean. Bob was a man who could ‘soft shoe’ across any dance floor.
A visitation will be held Thursday, October 17th from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at

We were so sad on hearing that Bob had left us. Like. Many, we thought that he would be with us to 100. Bob was a true Gentleman, the epitome of all the virtues of a dear friend. He so loved his rural community and so did so many of the people in the Colgan area. When he visited the area people would almost line up to speak with him. He had so many great stories and took the time to find out how things were going with the people to whom he spoke. We will treasure the last time or two that we chatted with this great Gentleman . Our prayers are with you at this time.
