It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sandra Ann Span (née Lasruk), who passed away on October 16, 2026, at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital in Vaughan, at the age of 76.
Sandra will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband, Karel, and her cherished daughters, Stephanie ( Jeffery) Castronaro and Jennifer (Allen) Frans. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Alyssa, Taylor, Vicky, and Katelyn, who brought great joy to her life.
Sandra is now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, George and Minnie Lasruk, and her brother, John Lasruk.
Family and friends will be received at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477, on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., and on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Cliffside Hall.
Donations in Sandra’s memory to the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre at Southlake would be greatly appreciated by the family.
