    Dear Kathleen,

I have been wanting to send a note to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. It’s always so difficult to know what to say at a time like this – and sometimes I make the mistake of not saying anything at all.

I can’t imagine how you are dealing with having to say goodbye to Shannon. Grieving your loss, being there for the rest of your family and doing all of this during COVID 19. It’s truly heartbreaking.

You are so strong and your family is so close…I know you will all get through this. It won’t be easy, especially right now, but lean on friends and stay close to your amazing community. You have so many people who love you and care about you.

You are in my thoughts every day – I love looking at my beautiful purple pansies.

You are an amazing woman Kathleen – you have inspired me for years and I hope all of the good you have put out into the world is coming back to you right now when you most need it.

Sending warm thoughts and prayers…and most of all love….

    Tracey

    Hi Kathleen,
It has taken me a few days to write to you as I haven’t been able to find the words to say.
    I still don’t have them.

I don’t know who Shannon was when she died, but what I do know is how you loved her.

Back when we worked in the office together I remember how much you talked about her, how much time you spent with her . You loved as though she was your own. She was a very lucky little girl to have an aunt that loved her the way that you did.

My sincere condolences to you and your sister and the rest of the family.

    May she rest in peace.

    Love you.

My heartfelt condolences go out to you Diane, Tim and your family. My heart is heavy as I think of Shannon, what a blessing it was to get to know her. I will surely miss the presence of a truly loveable and kind person. Shannon complained very little with strength of acceptance. She often mentioned to me that she felt blessed to have such a caring and loving family, that includes all the people who loved and cherished her. She could not say enough word of affection and appreciation toward you Diane, know that Shannon loved you and all the seemingly effortless support you gave her…plus your delicious, healthy cooking which came up in many conversations. I am sure that I have not breached confidentiality sharing her words of love to all of you. A beautiful soul full of love and faith, ascended to heaven, away from us but closer to God. Find comfort in remembering your dear Shannon.

May my condolences bring all of you peace through this painful time. I hope that the love of family and friends will comfort and strengthen your family in the days ahead. If there is anything that I can do please do not hesitate to let me know.

Cottage memories! The daily rice crispy squares! Going for ice cream! Going to watch the bears at the garbage dump! One night the girls put on a show for us. Shannon had a pile of movies – she picked up each one at a time and said a line from the movie. The most memorable was one from The Parent Trap. Shannon, with a spot on British accent, repeated a line from the movie re Vicky. We all had a good laugh and Shannon basked in our appreciation. Great memories – very happy times. Thanks Shannon x o
