Cullen: Sharon Patricia Ann, Age 87
After a lengthy illness, Sharon passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie, on January 27, 2026. Sharon Cullen (nee: Nunn), beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Cullen. Loving mother of Kimberley Cullen, Karen Cullen, and Kathy Ramsay (Billy). Dear grandmother of Krystal Cullen (Dwayne Gregson), and Nichols Ramsay, and great grandmother of Austin and Kassidy Gregson. Predeceased by her parents Jack Nunn and Grace Nunn (nee: Beetham) and her sister Catherine Buck. Forever in the hearts of her extended family and friends.
Sharon amazed everyone with her resilience against illness and her will to battle her way back each time her health began to fail. She was quiet, but she was also one tough lady!
In her younger days, prior to having children, Sharon worked as a bookkeeper. Later in life, with the children grown, she enjoyed her work as a homecare provider to the elderly and infirm.
She enjoyed crocheting, and spent many years crafting beautiful blankets for babies, and her family. She had a love for animals and her most recent companion, Bella, was
by Sharon’s side everyday for 8 years, until her health declined and she moved into Victoria Village Manor in Barrie.
Sharon spent her last two years at Victoria Village Manor where she enjoyed an
abundance of activities, and some exciting outings. A highlight was her first ever ride on a Ferris wheel at the Barrie Fair. Although her daughter Kim called her every evening, Kim knew not to call her mom on Thursday because… that was Bingo Night!
The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to all the staff who provided Sharon with care at the Victoria Village Manor.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Saturday January 31, 2026 from 10am until the time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 12pm. Reception will follow in the Funeral Home’s Cliffside Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Sharon’s memory to Diabetes Canada, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Victoria Village Manor Recreation Department. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com. Please note that this will be a scent-free service. Thank you for your understanding.

I was 16 yrs old when I met Sharon and her family, eldest girl Kim was now my best friend and Sharon always treated me like one of the family, Sharon’s great sense of humour and light hearted ways made everyone who met her feel welcome.
She loved her stories (soap operas) couldn’t miss those and it was quiet time when they were on.
I will miss your smile, our conversations about anything and everything because that’s how Sharon was, easy to talk too.
Sharon, you & Jim can once again enjoy your coffee together while seeing the sun and rainbows from a new view.
