Sharron Dianne Smith (nee Ard):
Peacefully at Southlake hospital on March 9, 2023 with her beloved husband of 48 years Paul and her daughter Tracy by her side.
Born August 12, 1943 in Owen sound Ontario to Wellington and Valvena Ard. She was the oldest of their 3 children.
Sharron was a no nonsense, feisty, no filter force to be reckoned with. Always quick witted, sarcastic, funny and ready to dance!
Sharron has had many jobs throughout her life but only one that she held near and dear to her heart. She was a dedicated employee of Canada Post and delivered RR1 Beeton’s mail for 18 years. Everyone on her route was a friend, nobody was a stranger, no task too great or small and for that she was so well loved in the community.
Sharron was known at the Beemart in Beeton where she could be found placing her bets and sharing laughs with the locals. She had an infectious personality and it showed.
Sharron is predeceased by her parents, her baby brother Dennis, and two infant children.
She leaves behind her loving husband Paul of Beeton.
Lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her daughters Tracy, Dianne and Trina (Glen)
Proud grandmother of Richard (Melinda) Rebeccah (Dave) Nicholas and Christopher.
Loving Great Memaw to Skyler, Samira and Kyah-Lily.
Survived and missed by her sister Fay (Rick) MacLeod of Desboro and sister-in-law and best friend Edith Russouw of Brampton.
Remembered by many nieces and nephews and friends and her extended family at Beeton Post Office.
We would like to thank her wound care nurse Michelle for all her love and care throughout this journey you are a true angel and gift to our family.
Dr Alan Lossing and Kelly for giving Sharron such wonderful care and allowing her to keep her dignity.
Dr Isabella Kogan for the many home visits and time.
The PSW’s for their care and support. The amazing staff at Southlake hospital and all they have done for her over the past several months. Every single one of you hold a special place in our hearts.
In Lieu of flowers we ask that donations in Sharrons name be made to Matthews House Hospice in Alliston.
As per Sharrons wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home Sunday April 2, 2023 from 1:00pm-4:00pm.
