To the Drummond Family. My deepest condolences for your loss.
I worked with Wil at 14 Division for quite a few years. He was a good man and I enjoyed working with him. He really knew how to gather up all the information for our memo books and not miss any details. He was well liked by all his fellow officers. He was a fine person and police officer.
John Rowett says
My condolences to Wil’s family. I had Wil as my mentor my first night in uniform at 14. He made our pinch seem like I had done more than I had really done, just to give me confidence in my new role. I know that was his character to develop others. Rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Wil’s passing. A keen sense of humour and positive outlook.I remember that Wil was an integral part in the piloting of the drug offender court in the early 2001… a job he did with great enthusiasm and compassion and a project which was very much needed.
Rest in peace Wil.

I worked with Wil at 14 Division for many years. He was an amazing mentor, and cherished colleague. He was such a gentleman and good natured “copper” that whether you were a new recruit or seasoned veteran, he was the one many looked up to, as I certainly did.
He will be missed.
Rest in peace my old friend.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Wil Drumond. During our time working together in the 1980s, Wil’s hearty and infectious laugh was a constant source of joy. His calming presence and wise teachings were invaluable to all of us who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
Wil was more than just a colleague; he was a moral compass and an inspiration to many, including myself. His strength of character and unwavering principles left a lasting impact on me and undoubtedly on many others.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
With deepest sympathy,
Michael Shanahan

Matt, Marie and Jaclyn, I am so incredibly sorry to hear the news. There is no one else on Earth like your father. He had a heart of gold and a laugh that just came straight from his belly and you couldn’t help but laugh with him. He was such a kind hearted and loving man, willing to help out anyone at anytime, no questions asked and never asking for anything in return. He put care and compassion into anything he did. And his kids were his absolute pride and joy. I will never forget how loving and kind your dad was to me. He was like a second father to me for many years. His memory will always put a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. I can’t believe he is gone. His memory will live on forever. Sending my deepest condolences to all that knew and loved him, and especially to Matt, Jaclyn and Marie. The world will never shine as bright as when he was here, lighting it up with his tender eyes and glowing smile. You will be deeply missed my so many, Wil. May your sweet soul rest peacefully xo

My sincere condolences to Wil’s family.
I first met Wil when I joined 14 Division in 1984. We shared a scout car and walked the beat together many a time. Wil taught me so many things about policing. He was a true professional; a man with integrity who treated everyone he met with kindness. A perfect “Gentleman” .
May he rest in peace.
Henry Timmins says
We met at Correnti Cigars (King &Spadina) 35 years ago. John Miller and I would trade outrageous stories with Will.
We took him out for lunch last September when he was trapped in a failing body.
God Bless.
Frances Rotstein says
Wil’s joy in life was being a father. He loved to travel and nothing ignited his spirit quite like when he recalled his stories of taking Matthew and Jaclyn on trips, of snorkelling, of marvelling at all the new and different experiences during their travels.
Wil was a patient man, so very kind, and he was an excellent listener. (And a darn good talker!) He was a dedicated Toronto Police Officer and enjoyed a meaningful and fulfilling career.
Wil was lovingly cared for over these past years by Matthew. Wil loved to brag about Matt’s cooking, his attentiveness, and his steadfast commitment to ensuring Wil’s comfort and quality of life.
Matthew -your dad was so very humbled by, and appreciative of your devotion to him. I am so sorry for your, and your sister’s loss.
May your many, many happy memories of your loving dad give you strength and sustain you in the days ahead.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
Farewell, luv.

Barb and Barry Rowland says
So sorry for your loss, thinking of you as you go through this difficult time.
Pat And John Greer says
Matt and Jaclyn, your dad was a special person. Sharon, Wil and I raised a glass at family functions to being the happy in-laws as he had quite a sense of humour. Wilton made sure I had someone to have lunch with when I was to Newmarket often for doctors appointments and follow up, always offering support and interest in how each others families were doing. Wilton always had stories of adventures on the force, on trips in the Caribbean or just his daily observations. My mom and dad enjoyed being around Wilton, he had the gift of the gab and was always entertaining. My own children, Rob and Kyle, enjoyed being around Wilton and often asked for his help and advise. John and I extend our prayers and condolences to you both.
